Report tutorial

This tutorial will lead you through the process of creating a Diet Pro report. By following these steps carefully you will become familiar with the major features of the reporting interface.

Note  It is recommended that you complete the Diet Data Entry Tutorial first. This will ensure that you have some data to graph.

  1. Select the Diet Navigator tab.
  2. How?

  3. Click the expand icon next to the Home icon to expand it.
  4. Select a profile .
  5. Tip  You can use the profile that you used in the New Profile Tutorial, if you like.

  6. On the Action menu, point to New and click New Report.
  7. - or -

    Right-click on the navigator treeview and then, on the popup menu, point to New and click New Report.

    Click New on the task toolbar.

  8. Click the Report tab.
  9. Enter the report properties (click here to learn how).
    1. Type Weight and Body Fat Percent in the Report Name box.
    2. Select a profile from the Profile list.
    3. Tip  It is recommended that you select the profile you used in the Diet Data Entry Tutorial first. This will ensure that you have some data to graph.

    4. Leave the Report Folder box empty. Your new report will appear under All Reports.
    5. Enter the following in the Comments box: This report graphs weight and body fat percent over time.
    6. Click the Data tab.
  10. Select the data you want to graph in your report.
    1. Select Weight (lb) from the First Column list.

      Tip  If you would prefer to see your report in kilograms, select Weight (kg) instead.

    2. Select Body Fat Percent from the Second Column list.
    3. Click the Data tab.
  11. Choose your report formatting options.
    1. Select First Column from the Element list.
    2. Select Curved Line from the Line Style list.
    3. Select Hollow circle from the Point Style list.
    4. Select Medium red from the Line Color list.
    5. Select Second Column from the Element list.
    6. Select Dark gray from the Line Color list.
  12. Click OK

    Tip  If you see No data to display at the top left of your report then you haven't entered any goal data for your profile yet. Try the Diet Data Entry Tutorial.
